About

We are a mother and son team, Anita Enns and James Enns.  We create pottery by wheel thrown and hand building processes and sometimes a combination of both.  All pots are fired twice in an electric kiln.

Anita knew she wanted to be an artist from a very early age.  She took pottery classes on & off, starting in high school, in grade 9, in Paoli, Indiana.  The most recent classes started in 2012 with Gloria Gellner at Capricorn Pottery, in Kingsville, Ontario. Anita hasn't looked back since!  Over time she purchased her own wheel, kiln, and other equipment to pursue her passion!

James does the math, but is also very creative.  He enjoys using colour in his work and challenging himself.

Signature Mug

The idea for my signature mug design includes meaning for the reason I chose the name "Footpath Pottery". Psalm 119:105 says: "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path." My faith has always been important to me, and has been a part of my life wherever I've lived. After I got a footprint roller, I thought of doing a "path" around a mug, along with the verse. Each one that I make is unique, with the path being a little different.

We are all on a journey, and I hope to encourage others along the way.
